What 'fallen' nature! Nature didn't make make you fallen! The men in the church made you think you are 'fallen'. If they didn't, you wouldn't be feeling guilty and needing some one to repent to! LOL!
Shame on them. Take care, and thanks for being such a good person. But! it's not because of your religion you are a good person. People are born good. It's the world that changes them. Just like puppies and kittens,....we're just animals after all. A part of nature and the Universe. :)
Wow. It's a good thing that most people don't believe in all that man created rubbish any more. If they did, there really would be no hope. The whole concept of Religion was created by MAN 1000's of years ago. There have always been religions to explain the things humans didn't understand. There is no one god or one religion there are endless religions, all attempts to understand our Universe.
The Universe does not create or need religions, it doesn't seek to control it's creatures, it lets them live their lives as nature intended.
Read "The Naked Bible: The Truth about the most Famous book in History" an interview with one of the best translators of the Old Testament in the oldest form of Hebrew,....used by the Vatican and the Jewish Council for years. You will be amazed at what you read even in the first few pages. Take in some new knowledge and broaden your horizons! All religions are created by man. Yours too. Now I will take leave of you and never bother you again. Stay safe. And get ready for the Big Ugly.
To the extent that religion is an attempt to live faith, you're absolutely right. Religion is 100% man-made. Faith is another matter. It is a gratuitous gift from God. Man, responding to this gift, attempts to express his faith in the material world--in his thoughts, words, and actions. Because of our fallen nature, our implementations of faith are always imperfect unless we surrender completely to the inspiration of grace.
So, yes, you're right about religion. My religion--the administrative Church--is deeply flawed, more so today than any time in history. Yet it is the most refined expression of the gift of faith that exists.
Sorry to see you go, and I will continue to remember you in my prayers for my readers. Thank you!
