Finally!!! This is what I've been saying! If there are no RULES, why are we playing by them and handicapping ourselves! Screw the RULES! Send out 2 mail in ballots for each of us! Then maybe we'll stand a chance! My dogs would be happy to vote, and if dead dogs can WIN, then my dogs can VOTE!

We may not even have to cheat. I had lunch with Obama's chief data strategist in 2011. He was remarkably friendly and open. He told me that the "magic" of social media had nothing to do with advertising. It was about knowing where potential voters were. The ground game (and a good candidate) took care of flipping voters from "registered" to "likely."

Their data analysis also told them where NOT to make an effort. They realized Republicans were unenthusiastic about McCain, so they used social media and cable TV targeting to block election ads from red areas.

If their models don't track reality, they have problems just like a baseball team that overly reliant on statistics that comes across a player they didn't expect like Pujols in his first couple of seasons. He didn't fit their models.

Mathematical models are not magic, and they are highly vulnerable to confounding variables. When your enemy uses models, introduce a confounding variable and enjoy the chaos that ensues.

Here's a great article explaining how weak these models can be: https://brownstone.org/articles/the-deification-of-mathematical-modeling/
