To answer your question, what will it take? For my family, it would take St Louis area private schools to start to realize that many learning disabled kids THRIVE in mainstream special ed. My son spent K-8 in private schools. As much as the Rockwood moral decay sickens me, it's the first time my son has been educated in a way that makes him feel "smart" and "normal". These are his words. He no longer feels frustrated because he's not stuck in a one size fits all program designed for a condition he does not have.
If someone had done this to my children or grandchildren, I would need a mask when I wait outside of the school parking lot and follow that person home to beat the living tar out of them. They have stopped FEARING the actions of the righteous. The tree of liberty and you know, the thing.
