What Biden Does Tells Us How Screwed We Are

This week is crucial

It’s been gnawing at me since I read Charlie Kirk’s X post on the Fifth of July (h/t to Lanford Wilson):

There is a quiet arrogance in Biden that is noteworthy. Either he’s totally delusional and thinks he’s the most popular president ever... Or, he knows something we don’t and there is something coming that will change this election in his favor. Stay vigilant and be prepared.

My unease was doubled when Sen. Warner cancelled his meeting with fellow Democrat Senators to craft a plan for dumping Biden.

The meeting initially planned by Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., with a group of Senate Democrats to discuss what to do amid concerns about President Biden’s electability is no longer taking place tomorrow, according to a source directly familiar with discussions.

My replay to Matt Taibbi, who reposted the MSNBC post, has been liked and retweeted a lot, and it expresses the dark thought that’s been eating me since Friday:

They carefully explained to Sen. Warner their plans for guaranteeing the outcome of the election. He was satisfied with their plan.

My reply is, of course, cynical, but I believe sincerely it is a possibility—a strong possibility.

Charlie Kirk was absolutely right: Biden is not acting like a man who is on the verge of falling in utter disgrace from his party’s ticket and possibly being forced out of the White House under the 25th Amendment. Rather, he’s acting like a guy who already won reelection.

Likewise, Kamala Harris, seems completely onboard with Joe’s continuing as the standard-bearer. yet Harris is a power position. Under the 25th, the Vice President plays the key role in ousting the boss for incapacity. But there is no evidence she is lobbying cabinet secretaries to trigger the 25th, which would make her the first female president and presumptive nominee. Why wouldn’t she? Is she it here zealous loyalty? Nothing in her history suggests anything of the sort. Yet, Harris, too, shows signs of arrogance despite knowing that, if Joe loses in November, her career is over, too.

What gives?

Other than high confidence that fix is in for a rigged election, the other possibility is that a fix is in to remove Biden. Maybe someone pulled Senator Warner aside and said, “Look, Joe’s out. We can’t announce it yet, but we have the votes in the cabinet.” Or some such plan that would force Biden off the ticket. This information would explain Harris’s lack of emotion, as well.

Either way, with Democrat nomination ballots already being returned and due by Friday of this week, we should know something by the weekend. And we can prepare for either scenario. Either Biden will be out by close of business Friday, or a lot of Democrats are under convinced Joe can’t lose no matter what.

Either way, let’s pray for our country.
