URGENT: Pope Francis to Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Now, we're getting somewhere
Praise Jesus! Pope Francis is responding to the call of God, at least in part, by promising to consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Friday, March 25 at 17:00 in Rome. This is the most useful and promising plan yet devised to end the war in Ukraine.
In 1917, Our Lady told a Portugese shepherd girl that God asks the Holy Father to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, ordering all bishops throughout the world to recite the prayer of consecration with him. Before it’s too late.
The Blessed Virgin seemed to know that the consecration would come too late, but promised Lucia that, even if late, it would protect Russia.
Pope Francis has not yet ordered all bishops to join him, but Bishop Athanasius Schneider has appealed to his fellow bishops to participate in the consecration.
In light of the Vatican’s announcement of the upcoming consecration of Russia and Ukraine, Bishop Schneider wrote in the statement as sent to LifeSite (see full text below) that this “ought to fill all Catholics with deep joy, consolation and encouragement, and we hope that it will also bring joy and solace to our dear Orthodox brothers and sisters in Russia and Ukraine.” He then reminded us that, according to what Our Lady told Sister Lucia, “the Pope should invite all bishops to unite themselves with him in making this consecration.”
While I hope and pray the Holy Father obeys God’s request as transmitted to Sr. Lucia through the Blessed Mother in 1917, I thank him for this wonderful concession to God’s sole sovereignty. By this announcement, Pope Francis tells the world that man can do nothing but err and sin without the grace of God. He has reaffirmed that we are mere creatures.
The local time in St. Louis for the consecration will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 25. I urge everyone to pause for one minute to pray for the validity of this consecration, for peace in Europe and throughout the world, and that this horrible war and its end serve to bring souls to Jesus.
Bishop Schneider also wrote a preparatory novena for Lifesite News to be prayed for nine days leading up to the consecration. With gratitude to the bishop and Lifesite News, I’d like to ask all my readers to say this prayer today and for the next nine days.
Preparatory Novena prayer for the Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
O Immaculate Heart of Mary, Holy Mother of God and our most tender Mother. Look down upon the distress in which the Church and all humanity finds itself due to the spread of godlessness, materialism and the persecution of the Catholic Faith, errors of which you warned in Fatima. You are the Mediatrix of all graces. Obtain for us the grace that all the bishops of the world, in union with the Pope, may consecrate Russia and Ukraine to Your Immaculate Heart on March 25, 2022. By this consecration we hope – as you told us in Fatima – that, at a time appointed by God, Russia will be converted, and mankind will be granted an era of peace. We hope that by this consecration, the triumph of Your Immaculate Heart will soon draw near and the Church will be authentically renewed in the splendor of the purity of the Catholic Faith, the sacredness of the liturgy and the holiness of the Christian life. O Queen of the Holy Rosary and our most tender Mother, turn Your merciful eyes toward the Pope, the bishops and each of us, and graciously hear our fervent and trusting prayer. Amen.
