Hatred of one’s biological sex is a mental disorder. It was recognized as such from the infancy of psychology until about 2015 when psychologists (and physicians with less understanding of the human brain than your typical salesman) decided transgenderism is a natural phenomenon that should be “affirmed” and encouraged.
What changed?
Politics.
There was no scientific breakthrough or unimpeachable, controlled longitutidinal study to suggest some people are born with the wrong genitalia. No new fMRI technology revealed the hidden part of the brain that assigns attitudinal sex independently of chromosomal sex. In fact, every cell in the human brain bears the same sex-determining chromosomes as every other cell in the body. You are either XX and female or XY and male.
In annuls of pscychology there was a condition known as “Napoleon complex.” People with this condition express a need to dominate others and are often physically short. But the popular misconception of Napoleon complex was a person who thought he was, in fact, Napoleon Bonaparte. This misconception gained ascendency because there are people who believe themselves to be someone else, but that’s a different diagnosis, usually called Disassociative Identity Disorder.
For fun, let’s say “Napoleon complex” is a popular name for Disassociative Identity Disorder. Now, ask yourself, “How should we treat someone who thinks he is Napoleon?”

Yet, around 2015, the medical profession decided that delusional “Napoleons” need armies to affirm their identities. “If we don’t give this Napoleon an army,” say doctors, “he might just up and kill himself.”
Yes, and? Would it be more humane to give a madman an army?
In Nashville yesterday, a woman who believed herself to be a man murdered three children and three adults, and the left is outraged that the murdered was “misgendered” and “deadnamed.” I Biden you not:
