Ron DeSanctimonious Lives Up to His Forever Name
America's toughest governor is owned by the donor class
When Donald Trump referred to Florida’s governor as “Ron DeSantimonious,” I thought it was a dumb move.
DeSantis was, at the time, riding in popularity with MAGA and beyond. He’d just stared down Disney after defying the lockdown orgy that engulfed most of the country. Taking a shot at him seemed ridiculous, petty, and ineffective—even counter-productive—at the time.
I was wrong, and Trump was right.
Today, Ron DeSanctimious lived up to his forever name in spades.
After three days of silence regarding the DOJ-leaked news that a shady District Attorney in New York planned to arrest the 45th President of the United States this Tuesday, DeSanctimonious took a shot at Trump.
After saying, "The Manhattan District Attorney is a Soros-funded prosecutor...They weaponize their office to impose a political agenda on society...The Soros District Attorneys are a menace to society,” DeSanctimonious—at the urging of Paul Ryan and big Republican donors—added snivelingly, “I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star.”
He got a laugh from a few reporters, but “DeSanctimonious” is now Ron’s forever name. You will never see or hear him without thinking “sanctimonious.” And “bought.”
It turns out, Trump knew DeSanctimonious better than the rest of us. He knew that, given the opportunity, Ron’s sanctimonious streak would reveal itself for all to see. Trump planted a mental bomb that went off this morning, wiping out another potential challenger for the GOP nomination with a perfectly planted name: Low-energy Jeb, Lyin’ Ted, Little Marco. And, now, Ron DeSanctimonious.
You can’t unhear it.
Too bad!
Boom. DeSantis holds the card, and plays it for full effect live on primetime - they cut in to the Jesse Waters show to read their statement at 7:10pm for millions to see, and DeSantis reaps all due credit. You were saying he should’ve used it to bail Trump out of a bad 24 hr news cycle.
Nonsense. Why should RD pay any undue respect to a guy who won’t think twice to assassinate his character? Indeed he doesn’t have any experience with porn stars, that’s a good thing. Where is the win for RD in propping up Trump? What’s his % cut of that deal? Jack shit. I do not personally trust either of these goons - not sure why you do either Bill.
