US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said today on CBS News that the US has agreed to backfill Poland with F-16s, allowing to Poland to lend a fleet of MiG-29s to Ukrainian pilots. The Polish MiGs would, in Blinken’s scenario, fly combat missions out of Polish Air Force bases because all MiG-cabable airports in Ukraine have been destroyed.
Before you say, “but, but, but,” let’s pretend this scenario—which many members of Congress and all of Fox News are demanding—played out.
Where We’ve Been
Russia invaded Ukraine, despite threats of sanctions.
The West imposed sanctions, but Russia did not withdraw.
The West’s intel agencies, for a week, indicated that Russia would fail to subdue Ukraine.
Western media went on all out offensive to increase Western nations’ involvement on Ukraine’s behalf. (Fox News might be the most aggressive in pushing propaganda designed to pressure US policy makers.)
Where We Are
Ukraine asks for MiG fighters from Poland.
Russia announces it will declare war on any nation that allows Ukraine to use its airports for combat operations. (There are no functional military airports left in Ukraine.)
US Secretary of State announces he is working with Poland to backfill (with US F16s) Polish MiGs donated to Ukraine.
Where We’re Headed (A Thought Experiment)
Poland agrees to lend Ukraine 12 MiG-29 fighters.
US private military companies assist Ukrainian flight teams to travel to several Polish Air Force bases to take command of the aircraft.
Russia increases its air presence in anticipation of the Polish MiGs.
On Wednesday, March 9, four Ukrainian pilots enter Ukrainian air space in Polish MiGs. They return to their Polish base without incident.
Four hours later, Russian media announces that Russia is in a state of war with Poland.
After receiving an official declaration of war from the Russian foreign ministry, Poland requests NATO support under Article V.
Angry debate erupts in Washington as previously hawkish Congressmen and Senators claim Article V cannot be invoked until a NATO is actually attacked, that a “state of war” is simply a legal term.
Western media increase pressure on the Biden Administration to side with Poland and declare war on Russia.
On Thursday, March 10, Vladimir Putin releases a video stating he has instructed his Air Force to eliminate any Polish aircraft that enter the war zone, including pursuing them into Polish air space.
Media and former military and intel service pundits determine that Putin’s announcement triggers Article V.
Debate in Congress intensifies as the House passes a bill giving the President authority, at his discretion, to accept Poland’s request for Article V assistance. The Senate expects to take up the measure the following week.
On Friday, March 11, one of the Ukrainian-piloted MiGs crashes in eastern Poland, 30 miles from the border with Ukraine. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy releases a video claiming the aircraft was shot down by Russian fighters. Russia claims the MiG was the victim of friendly fire from the ground.
In an emergency Saturday session, the US Senate approves the House bill, giving the President authority to, effectively, declare war under under Article V of the NATO treaty.
Hours later, Russia announces a declaration of war against all NATO countries.
One hour after Russia’s declaration, China announces it is in a state of war with all NATO nations.
China, Russia, and Iran agree to ban all trade with NATO nations or any nation trading with a NATO country.
In the evening of Sunday, March 12, oil futures trading is suspended as the price reaches $210 a barrel just 20 minutes after the start of pre-market trading. All major US stock markets announce they will be closed until further notice. The Fed orders a 10-day bank “holiday” to prevent runs.
Meanwhile, a large demonstration in Washington, DC demands the US immediately begin combat operations in Ukraine as Russia begins massive bombings of Kiev. President Biden, in a hastily-assembled press conference, says, “of course, we will honor our commitment to defend Ukraine,” leading most of the world to believe the US will send troops and aircraft into the country.
On Monday, March 13, many US companies announce temporary shutdowns due to lack of access to capital and markets.
Same day, Poland releases flight and radar data indicating the Polish MiG was downed by an air-to-air missile and calls for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
I’ll let your imagination finish the story.
Poland Refutes Blinken
The possible path to World War III seemed likely when the US Secretary of State announced that plans were already underway to transfer some Polish MiGs to Ukraine. But Poland’s Prime Minister called Blinken’s announcement “FAKE NEWS.”
Poland, unlike the idiots who run the United States, seems to realize that Putin isn’t bluffing. If Poland allows Ukraine to use its airfields for combat operations, Russia will seek to neutralize Poland, a NATO country. That would trigger World War III.
Will We Bumble Our Way Into Nuclear Hell?
Rather than bad decision-making, I expect we’ll bumble our way into annihilation.
We’ve already seen the Biden Administration bumble the world in the Russia-Ukraine conflict through a 13-month series of ideological moves:
Ended US energy independence intentionally by shutting down Keystone, ANWR, and new drilling
Prolonged economic malaise and inflation through COVID policies and mandates
Ignominiously stumbled out of Afghanistan in the dark of night, killing 13 US service members
Murdered an innocent Afghan family, falsely claiming it was responsible for a suicide attack on US forces
Refused to send arms and ammo to Ukraine even after the transfers were authorized by Congress
Refused to impose sanctions on Russia even after claiming 100% certainty Russia would invade Ukraine
Indicated the US would not impose sanctions if a Russian invasion was “minor”
Continues to import 600,000 barrels of Russian oil each day and claims US has no intention of sanctioning Russian energy exports
Sent Kamala Harris to a European security conference where she embarrassed herself, her hosts, and the United States
All of these errors (and more) gave Putin confidence that the US lacks both the ability and the will to stop him from doing anything he wants in Europe. Weakness (and dementia) invites trouble.
Now, Blinken has driven a wedge between the US and Poland by making Poland a potential target for Putin. Blinken’s lie will make it difficult for US allies to trust the administration.
Media Want Total War
When I saw the Gateway Pundit report on the Blinken-Poland controversy, I looked up Fox News to find more details. But Fox News reports only what will increase the likelihood of total war.
Fox included a story about Blinken’s comments. They provided additional details about how the Polish lend-lease program would work. But they buried the part where Poland’s Prime Minister called the report “fake news.”
You have to ask yourself, “why?” Poland is, after all, a big country and NATO member. Kamala Harris would tell you it’s also much closer to Russia than the United States. And it owns the airplanes and airports Blinken wants to use. It would seem, then, that what the Prime Minister of Poland says about this story would matter.
But Fox doesn’t think so. Fox wants those MiGs in the air, so it’s pretending Poland doesn’t even have a voice in the matter. If the Antony Blinken wants Poland to enter the war in Ukraine, then that’s how it shall be.
This is how world wars start.
The media inflame passions, people become emotionally unstable and loud, politicians virtue signal, bills get passed, planes get transferred, and pretty soon that sound you hear is the civil defense siren telling you to grab your potassium iodide tablets and head to your backyard fallout shelter, if you have one. Otherwise, tell your loved ones you’ll see them on the other side.
UFC Fighter Kills It
The media want to sort everyone into two categories: politically correct or cancelled. Most people carefully avoid the cancelled column by repeating banalities they heard on some podcast.
A few, though, speak the truth, and it’s so refreshing.
Bryce Mitchell is a UFC fighter from Arkansas. A UFC fighter. Yet, some reporter asked Bryce his thoughts on the Russian invasion. Undoubtedly, the reporter wanted to humiliate the fighter. Instead, the fighter summed up what millions think but are usually afraid to say.
Glenn Greenwald said of Bryce’s 2-minute answer:
It's often amazing what you hear when you listen to people who don't pay constant attention to politics for a living and therefore don't have their basic values corrupted and perceptions warped by constant propaganda
Agree or not with his view, that 2-minute clip above is wiser, more thoughtful, more independent-minded, more earnest and evinces more critical thought than 90% of the content about this war that flows forth from media corporations and professional pundits.
I couldn’t have said it better.
Our Lady of Akita
I’ll leave you with a few lines from Our Lady of Akita Japan. She appeared to a nun in Akita, Japan, in 1973 in a series of apparitions.
One of her messages is worth keeping in mind. Here is part of it:
"As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son.”
—BVM, Akita Japan, August 1973
Pray for the Ukrainian people that their struggle is not in vain. But pray, too, for peace before it’s too late.
I too "see things" (love your foto).
US admin: dammit, Polksa, are u gonna step up and help us on this or what?
Polska: oy! and if we give away our planes, what does our air force do? tiddlywinks?
US: always grumping! Ok....we'll backfill one plane, provided you sign our 200 page licensing agreement, for every plane you give to Ukraine!
Polska: Ok, we'll give em to you, YOU hand em over!
US: NO! I'm not supposed to directly antagonize putin, YOU do it!
Polska: oy! so we hand over planes, read over your 200 page licensing agreement, AND take it in the backside from Putin? NO THANKS!
Saw another clip demonstrating that Bryce Mitchell also has the inside track on the Fed & our fiat currency!
