Omicron Surge Dwarfs All Previous Spikes While Death Rate Plunges
Mitigation efforts will increase human suffering
I bet the New York Times wish they’d never published a live Covid tracker.
The tracker helped hype the panic for two years, but omicron is using the NYT tracker to prove its mildness—and to prove all the experts were wrong about everything, especially vaccine effectiveness.
Take a look at this from the New York Times:
First, the chart at the top shows how omicron is obliterating past spikes in January and September. And that’s after a holiday weekend with little testing or reporting from hospitals, clinics, and states. Cases could double by Wednesday or Thursday.
Next, look at the table. Cases are up 204 percent but deaths are DOWN -3%.
What’s worse for the propagandists is that the cases are coming from the most-vaccinated counties in the country.
Further, case explosions are focused in areas with strict mask, distancing, and vaccine passport rules like New York City, the most infected place in the country right now.
The idiot new mayor of New York, upon taking office Saturday, immediately doubled down on all the mitigation tactics that failed previously.
The narrative is shattered, but that doesn’t mean the narrative pushers will relax. Expect more draconian actions this week. For example, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan have extended their work-from-home policies until, at least, February.
Idiocy never ends.
