Elon Musk Buys Twitter for Free—Left Melts Down

Will Apple and Google ban Twitter apps from app stores?

Elon Musk is a genius. I suspect this was his strategy to get Twitter for next to nothing:

  • Offer to buy Twitter at $44 a share

  • Twitter price soars

  • Back out of deal and sue

  • Twitter pice plummets

  • Buy up shares through shell companies on the open market at $23 a share

  • Announce intent to consummate deal

  • Twitter price goes to $53 a share

  • Get Twitter for free

My conjecture looks like this:

Now that the deal is confirmed to close, of course, the left is freaking out, especially the Gen Z psychopaths with gender studies degrees who act as censors. Last night, they purged millions of accounts, likely bots, in an attempt to hide the securities scam Twitter has been running for years.

The securities scam went something like this:

  • Twitter’s stock price and advertising rates depend on the numbers of active accounts and daily active users. Eyeballs = revenue.

  • Twitter created and operated tens of millions of fake accounts (bots) to inflate DAU and growth rates.

  • Twitter’s execs used these inflate numbers to drive up share prices.

With Elon Musk in charge, the Gen Zers panicked. Or the executives panicked. Either way, the great bot purge is underway.

With Musk expected to cut Twitter’s headcount by as much as 50%, eliminate the bots, and open-source Twitter’s censorship algorithms and user counts, social media is about to take a hard turn toward the center.

But will the left cave? Or will Apple and Google block Twitter from devices, app stores, and operating systems?

The fun is just beginning.
