Confirmed: "Extremely" Mild Omicron Is Destroying More Severe COVID Strains (Updates)

Yesterday, we wrote that the omicron strain of COVID poses a threat to the Covidian narrative of ever-worsening cycles unless everyone does exactly what Dr. Pfauci says.
As if someone in the South African medical research world decided to make us look smart, we learn that omicron is not only mild and fast-spreading, it is also eating the other strains’ lunch. Check out this headline from City AM:
Says the report:
Excitement is growing among Coronavirus experts in Southern Africa and around the world as it increasingly seems that the new Omicron variant is rapidly replacing the much more deadly Delta mutation.
Experts are so ecstatic because it seems more and more that the Omicron variant is much more contagious and dominant than Delta, but also much milder and less deadly.
Some experts are therefore even urging countries to drop restrictions and let Omicron spread so the more infectious but less severe variant can kill off Delta quicker.
“Drop restrictions and let Omicron spread.” Gee, where have we heard that before?
Rest assured this good news for humanity will be treated like news of a Mongol invasion at the White House, Fauci’s mad-scientist lab, Pfizer, Wall Street, and my neighbor across the street who still wears two masks and surgical gloves to take out the trash.
If omicron is indeed the magic bullet, dictator governments around the world will double down on draconian restrictions, mandates, and internments for fear of losing their totalitarian grip. If you want the freedom omicron affords, you’re going to have to take it. Freedom is freely given only by God.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has said there is early evidence to suggest Omicron has an “increased risk of reinfection” and its rapid spread in South Africa suggests it has a “growth advantage” compared to Delta.
Therefore, virologist Marc van Ranst pointed out that “if the omicron variant is less pathogenic but with greater infectivity, allowing Omicron to replace Delta, this would be very positive.”
In fact, Omicron could turn out to be “a storm in a teacup” and may blow over within a few weeks, according to a former head of the British government’s vaccine task force.
Nonetheless, we must celebrate and thank God for this gift. Even if a harsh fight remains ahead to win our freedom, this would be an undeniable sign that we are on the right side and have been all along.

A new report out of South Africa confirms omicron significantly less virulent than any previous strain:
A snapshot of 42 patients in the ward on 2 December 2021 reveals that 29 (70%) are not oxygen dependent. These patients are saturating well on room air and do not present with any respiratory symptoms. These are the patients that we would call ‘incidental COVID admissions’, having had another medical or surgical reason for admission. Thirteen (13) patients are dependent on supplemental oxygen of which nine (21%) have a diagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia based on a combination of symptoms, clinical signs, CXR and inflammatory markers. All are being prescribed steroids as the mainstay of therapy. The remaining 4 patients are on oxygen for other medical reasons (2 previously on home oxygen, 1 in heart failure and 1 with a confirmed diagnosis of Pneumocystis Pneumonia).
This is a picture that has not been seen in previous waves. In the beginning of all three previous waves and throughout the course of these waves, there has always only been a sprinkling of patients on room air in the COVID ward and these patients have usually been in the recovery phase waiting for the resolution of a co-morbidity prior to discharge.
