BREAKING: Attorney General Slaps Rockwood School District with Cease and Desist Order!
Superintendent Is On the Rocks. Letter Attached.
Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt has slapped a cease-and-desist order on Rockwood Schools Superintendent Dr. Tim Ricker. (Download PDF of the letter below.)
“I hereby demand that you immediately cease and desist enforcement of any and all mandates, written or verbal, imposing student masking requirements, forced or coerced vaccinations, quarantines or other "health orders" that in any was inhibit or prohibit a student from exercising their right to a free and open education as guaranteed by the Missouri Constitution.”
This smackdown by the Attorney General is just latest in a long series of lawlessness by Rockwood officials. Earlier today, we received word that Rockwood administrators had assigned students to in-school suspension for showing up without their masks in direct violation of the court order and Attorney General’s letter.
The Attorney General has directed the district disclose its communications regarding his letter of 7 December:
In addition, I request copies of the following public records pursuant to Chapter 610 of the Missouri Revised Statutes:
1. All emails sent or received by the superintendent (including his or her staff) or Board of Education members (including the board secretary) relating to the Attorney General’s letter dated December 07, 2021, regarding unconstitutional health mandates.
2. All emails sent or received by the superintendent (including his or her staff) or Board of Education members (including the board secretary) relating to the Cole County Circuit Court’s ruling in Robinson v. Missouri Dept. of Health and Senior Services, 20AC-CC00515).
3. All emails sent or received by the superintendent (including his or her assistant) or Board of Education Members (including the board secretary) relating to the district’s COVID mitigation protocols beginning on November 22, 2021, through the date of this letter.
Last night, we reported on the false reports of threats and harassment filed by Rockwood employees. Law enforcement closed all four reports made by Rockwood personnel as unsubstantiated.
We also reported on Rockwood’s intent to defy the court order and Attorney General direction yesterday.
Previously, a Rockwood teacher exposed the filth, porn, and erotica Rockwood supplies to students through its school libraries.
Rockwood School District taxpayers spend fortunes every year to build a great school district, but Rockwood’s lawless, arrogant, and defiant school board and administration seem bent on wrecking the district, wrecking their students, and damaging the district’s previously stellar reputation.
It’s time to clean house at Rockwood Headquarters. And, in April, clean house in the school board.
Enough defiant lawless is enough. Here is the entire letter to Rockwood:
