Biden Admits "No Federal Solution to COVID"
But we already knew that
Joe Biden is taking flak from both sides for saying the obvious: “There is no federal solution to COVID.”
The statement came in a rare moment of lucidity as the president spoke to the nation’s governors. (Maybe his doctors finally got the dosage right.) Biden’s admission jeopardizes the entire federal response to COVID and logically renders moot the government’s Supreme Court case for a nationwide vaccine mandate via OSHA regulation.
Moreover, Biden’s wonderful sentence undoubtedly shattered the illusions of America’s millions of Covidians—people whose lives derive their only meaning from scolding others to comply with federal Covid-related mandates.
Biden now admits what many of us have been saying since, at least, April 2020: let the Covidians in New York and California have their lockdowns and mandates, but let freedom ring for the the sane people in the flyover states.
And Mr. Biden has the opportunity to turn his failing presidency around, retain the Senate, and possibly set himself up for a victory in 2024 thanks to omicron.
Omicron is, in fact, a cold, but a cold that does what the vaccines do not: omicron provides immunity against the more virulent strains of Covid. The more people who catch omicron, the fewer hospitalizations and deaths.
We know this thanks to Alex Berenson and his reporting on results from South Africa and Denmark:
Between Dec. 13 and Dec. 20, Denmark reported approximately 50,000 confirmed Omicron cases.
Given the approximately one-week lag between infection and hospitalization, those people should be flooding into hospitals.
EXCEPT THE NUMBER OF OMICRON PATIENTS IN DANISH HOSPITALS HAS NOT RISEN IN THE LAST WEEK.
Were Biden to seize on these data to lift all mandates—mask, distance, and vaccine—he would immediately win back many defected independents and young voters. Moreover, he would break the stranglehold of the radical left over his White House and assert himself as an actual leader.
Berenson agrees:
The only sane political move at this point is to drop ALL mandates - vaccine and otherwise - and ALL asymptomatic or quarantine testing (dropping all non-hospital testing would be even better) - and declare victory and go home. Even if the country weren’t burned out on scare stories and sick of being lied to, the reality of these figures is already obvious to most people. (Including LeBron James.)
Joe Biden has a window to save his legacy and his administration, but it’s closing. He has until New Year’s to secure this chance.
For the sake of humanity, and at the risk of his re-election, I pray to God Almighty that Biden listens to Berenson and me instead of Dr. Pfauci. We can deal with the politics later, but the humanitarian crisis created by government and Big Medicine needs to stop now.
