I am still a little dumbfounded by yesterday’s disgraceful performance by Sonia Sotomayor and Stephen Breyer in the Supreme Court. They intentionally lied to the American public to advance their own political agenda. We must now dismiss the Supreme Court as nothing more than a political organ.
Every institution that once stood as a bulwark against tyranny and evil is now exposed as crooked and corrupt. Along with the business of journalism, we can write off the Departments of Defense, Justice, and even Transportation. Homeland Security. Health and Human Services. The Food and Drug Administration. The Centers for Disease Control and the National Institutes of Health. The medical industry and professional sports. The Supreme Court. Most major city police departments around the world. And even the Holy See and most Catholic dioceses. All now festering lesions on the wrinkled flesh of what was once Christendom are now high-tech replicas of Sodom and Gomorra.
Wisdom dictates that we judge ourselves through the eyes of our ancestors, not the other way around. What would America’s founders say of the state of our government and of our cowardly people? What would the early Supreme Court justices think of Sotomayor and Breyer? What would Jefferson say about our generation’s commitment to liberty? What would St. Peter think of the works of that wretched old man now occupying his chair?
The simple fact is, you and I cannot trust any institution nor any of the people who animate them. Literally, everything that built the moral world we live in is fallen to ashes. Image telling George Washington that, one day, two Supreme Court justices would lie to the American people to advance their private agendas. Or telling St. Peter that his heir would erase from the Deposit of Faith the epistles of St. Paul. And, yet, that’s exactly what is happening before our eyes. What we have called our moral legacy is being toppled, burned, looted, destroyed, vilified, and corrupted as we sit back and watch like gawkers at a traffic accident.
Once upon a time in Western Civilization, Christians could, at least, count on the visible administrative Church when all else in society was evil and threatening. No more. The administrative Church is as corrupt as anything you can imagine in Washington, DC or Paris, France. Don’t believe me? Today the second-most powerful Cardinal Archbishop in America, Blase Cardinal Cupich of Chicago, declared that life begins at birth:
‘As Christians, our mission is to build a culture dedicated to protecting the sanctity of all human life at every stage of development from birth until natural death.’
—Blase Cardinal Cupich

Meanwhile, the pope has mandated all Vatican personnel to be injected with vaccines derived from aborted babies. Not to mention the administrative church’s continued attacks on very liturgies and blessings that formed the center of Catholic life since the time of the Apostles. Not to mention the Church’s abuse crisis, its financial crisis, the lack of faith in 70 percent of professed Catholics in America, and the declining numbers of Catholics.
So, the United States, the Western World, and the Catholic Church 1 being no longer trustworthy, where do turn?
