Happy Anniversary, Tea Party

leave a comment

stltp-textTwo years ago today, fifteen hundred Americans took time off work, school, and leisure. You braved high winds and low temps to stand under the Arch and say, “We’ve had enough.”

Since then, over 1,000 state and federal offices have changed hands.  In nearly 100 percent of these switches moves power from the privileged to the people. Some more than others. Some not enough.  But an amazing reversal of trends, nonetheless.

But our party has only begun.

In Wisconsin—and in state capitals around the country—union filth is demanding even more.  More money, more power, more privilege.  As the outgoing General Counsel of the National Education Association admitted that the NEA doesn’t care about children or the future, but about power.  The power to tax teachers and to use that cash to acquire more power for the privileged.

Our fight is only beginning

The dark forces of collectivism have redoubled their efforts to crash the American system and Western civilization.  They seek to destroy and to seize dictatorial power in the confusion that ensues.

But we have a right—a right granted by our status as humans—to fight back.  We have a right to say, “No.”  We have a right to abolish governments destructive to the ends of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and to replace them with institutions that, in our opinion, will best protest our sacred rights.

Every federal office holder takes an oath to preserve the Constitution against all enemies—foreign and domestic. But that formality is only an affirmation.  Every American has an individual right and duty to identify, pursue, and purge government of enemies to our Constitution.

That is why the Tea Party happened, and it’s why the Tea Party lives on.

You are the vanguard, not of revolution, but of restoration.

Restoring the republic.

Restoring our sacred rights.

Restoring the rule of law.

DISAPPOINTING: Missouri House Leadership Blowing it

I continue hearing reliable reports that the GOP Leadership in the Missouri House keeps its boot on the throat of  Tea Party freshmen.

What a shame.

The party that was flat on its back from 2006 to 2009 rose back to power because of the tea party. But, it seems, the Missouri branch of the party didn’t get the message.  And its Speaker in the Missouri House has become tighter with left-fringe Democrats that with conservatives of his own party.

Maybe tea party legislators need a Tea Party Caucus in Jefferson City.

If the Missouri House Republican leaders don’t get the message soon, their big majority will disappear in the blink of an eye, and statewide Republican candidates will pay the price.

So will our country.

SHOCKER: Geriatric Guy Talks Dirty to 17 Year Old Patriot *UPDATE* Help ID the Perv

one comment

In this disturbing video, an old union guy vividly describes tea-bagging to a 17-year-old high schooler. The reason?  The kid had the audacity to hand out free US Constitutions.

As you’ll see in the video from P/Oed Patriot and Sharp Elbows, the site of the Constitution at a union rally is like a crucifix and a pound of garlic in a vampire den.  You can actually watch as the document’s presence weakens the aging leftists. They age before your eyes.

Shocking.

The young man passing out Constitutions consented to the release of this video.

*UPDATE*  If you have any information on the identity of the old man in the cap, please email anonymously to tips@purplepeoplebeaters.com.

Here are full-on headshots of the pervert and his defender:

The Akin Example

Todd Akin need doesn’t to build tea party street cred. He thumps primary and general election opponents in biennial blowouts for Missouri’s Second District.  Todd is also a legitimate, committed member of the US House Tea Party Caucus.  Todd Akin is the last politician who needs to prove his tea party cred.  We trust him.

Akin Lives the Message

So when Todd Akin dashed from Springfield to Jefferson City to address the "Restore Common Sense” rally on the south steps of the Missouri Capitol, he didn’t do it to “prove” anything.  He did it because Todd Akin believes what we believe: that governments and unions for government workers are bankrupting our futures.

Todd Akin didn’t need the message embodied by the tea party—Todd Akin lives and breathes the spirit of the tea party.

We need more Todd Akins in every level of government.

What You Can Do

When our politicians do the right thing, we need to be as loud in support as we are in dissent when they stray.  Let’s begin by sending Todd Akin a thank you note for making the 5-hour round trip to Jefferson City today.

Click this link to thank Todd Akin for living the spirit of the tea party.
